What this site is

This is an independent content site covering log home buying: what construction really costs, how kit, custom, and existing-home purchases compare, what ownership and maintenance actually involve, how financing typically works, what to check before buying land, and the differences between full-scribe, milled, timber frame, and hybrid construction. It also hosts a neutral directory of North American log home manufacturers.

How the guides are built

• Real-world figures (costs, rates, ranges) are labeled as illustrative planning figures for a specific point in time, and flagged internally in the site's source as a standing reminder to re-check them.
• The manufacturer directory lists facts only — headquarters, style specialty, and a neutral description. No ratings, rankings, reviews, or pricing, and no affiliation with any company listed.
• Downsides are stated plainly. A guide that only lists upsides isn't useful to someone about to spend six figures.
• Every guide carries a visible publish/update date so you can judge how current the figures are.

What this site is not

It is not a builder, a broker, or a lender, and it does not accept payment from any manufacturer to appear in the directory or be described favorably. It does not collect analytics, cookies, or any personal data from visitors.
